After seeing this …
After seeing this video, I started using the stretch strap before I get out of bed in the morning. I’ve been doing that for a few days, and it’s made a big difference. I stretched frequently throughout the day, iced after workouts, but adding that stretch strap really helped the pain. Thank you for the advice.

One question–is it okay to stretch while in bed, or should I be on a harder surface?

@Little70Red Yes, …
@Little70Red Yes, taping can be very helpful. Best to have a podiatrist or athletic trainer familiar with taping show you how to do it.

I’ve had heel pain …
I’ve had heel pain for over 2 months & it was getting extremely sharp. I had actually discovered stretching my calf against a wall several times a day helped a lot along with buying a good pair of running shoes. Your other suggestions – the ice pack, foot massage & step stretch – are extremely helpful & are making a big difference in reducing the pain. I’m going to look for a foot brace next. I’ve seen a video about taping your plantar fasciitis, is that something you’d also recommend? Thanks!

Hi …

@sandra6858
Hi Sandra. Sounds like the shoe is putting your foot in a position that exacerbates your fasciitis. My thoughts:
Possibly a defective shoe
Possibly a minor change in the shoe design by the manufacturer

I have been trying …
I have been trying to heal mine for 2 months now. I have not had a problem until I purchased a new pair of running shoes — same running shoes I have purchased for the last 10 years. I went 3 weeks without wearing them, got to the point that my foot was not hurting, wore the shoes for 2 hours and was right back to the same pain as before. Why would this happen?

@CPerin55 Thanks …
@CPerin55 Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment. You made my day—I’m SO glad my suggestions helped you. Your plantar fasciia will probably tighten up overnight, so do make sure to continue with these exercises. Plantar fasciitis can be pesky. Keep up the home remedies and you’ll be able to beat it!
