What are some natural remedies (i.e., no medicine) to get rid of a headache for a pregnant woman.?
My wife is almost 4 months pregnant and is starting to get headaches more frequently. She wants to avoid taking medicine as much as possible.
Does anyone know of any natural remedies to get rid of headaches?
Thanks!
Warm baths are fine for pregnant women to take?
Eat Cherries…I tried it and it works. Only trouble is I don’t know if they are in season right now…I haven’t seen them lately. Possibly dried cherries would be just as effective. Wouldn’t hurt to try AND so yummy!
**Those headaches seem to be never ending. But new research from Michigan State University suggests eating cherries can be just as effective as aspirin. In fact, eating just 20 cherries can be 10 times more effective than taking aspirin. Anthocyanins present within the fruit deconstruct enzymes which cause inflammation and relieve pain associated with headaches at a more rapid rate.

relieve stress. Headaches are not a normal symptom of pregnancy. Try relaxing more

Certain scents like gardenia and lavendar have been known to calm the senses. Also, a relaxing warm bath may help infused with some oils.

A heat pack to reduce tension, light massage on temples (or where it hurts), a warm bath, light broths or fragrant herbal teas, and rest.

Yes a warm (not hot) bath is fine to take….She could also take a nap, place a cool wash cloth over her forehead and relax
I know she is avioding medication but tylenol is safe to take….I was a high risk pregnancy from day 1 and they told me not to worry about tylenol it was safe and i could take it…i was getting bad headaches too..
But sleep always works….

I absolutly lived in the bath tub and shower with my first son and now with this one I take showers when ever I need to destress. Water is so realxing and since its cold where I live right now I can’t go swimming

Drinking lots of water will help. For me, lying in a quiet, dark room for a while will usually help the headache to go away. A nice scalp massage might help her as well. If the headaches persist, she should definitely give her doctor a call as they could be a symptom of something more severe going on.

This is in one of my pregnancy books-I haven’t tried it yet though. Put a hot water bottle on your feet. This will cause the blood vessels in your feet to dilate, drawing the blood toward your feet and away from your head.
Yes warm baths are fine for pregnant women to take, but when she gets to be about 7 months pregnant it will be hard for her to get up and down to get in and out of the tub.

There is hope. A new product has become available within the last year. It has helped every single person I know, not just with headaches, but with Chronic pain of all types. It is not a drug, so there are no side efx. The product is Seven+. The active ingredient for headaches is fucoidan, but it is also loaded with other botanicals, Acai, Mangosteen, Gac, Goji, Pomegranate…the list goes on. It is very inexpensive, and guaranteed. You can go to this website, and take the seven day challenge. http://www.brolinforexfuze.iexfuze.net. I also have coupons available crosquist@utah.gov. There are a ton of testimonials from pro athletes and everyday people as well, If you have time check out the Journey of these people, It was designed to help their dieing father. I have personally seen it work. There’s also a way to make money with it if you’re into that. E-mail me if you have questions.
